Land and Poverty Conference 2017: Responsible Land Governance—Towards an Evidence-Based Approach

Ayer día 22 Futuver tuvo la oportunidad de participar y compartir experiencia en el Congreso Anual del Banco Mundial #LandConf2017 que se está celebrando en Washington D.C. 

Miguel Mendoza, Business Development Director de Futuver en México, presentó ponencia y participó en la Sesión dedicada a: ‘Creating the Data to Support Urban Land Management.’

La conferencia del Banco Mundial se ha convertido en uno de los mayores eventos internacionales sobre Gobernanza de la Tierra, atrayendo a más de 1.200 participantes de gobiernos, académicos, la sociedad civil y el sector privado.

Durante el desarrollo de conferencia se están presentando las últimas investigaciones y prácticas sobre la diversidad de reformas, intervenciones e innovaciones en el sector de la tierra en todo el mundo. El tema de la conferencia fue: ‘Gobernabilidad responsable: hacia un enfoque basado en la evidencia.’ La atención se centra en el papel de los datos y las pruebas para llevar a cabo la reforma de la política agraria, identificar estrategias para trabajar a escala y supervisar los logros.

Asimismo, en el marco de la Conferencia Anual sobre Tierra y Pobreza del Banco Mundial 2017, se llevó a cabo una reunión de trabajo en la OEA con la participación del Presidente de la Red Interamericana de Catastro y Registro Público y países que la integran.
